Photo Story: dark, depressing, steamy, outside

Photo Story 7/27/2021

It was a courageous battle for the top of the hill. The flag could be seen in the distance as the rain poured down on the troop.

"Almost there!"

The commander had yelled that bit of encouragement for the last seven miles, yet the flag still appeared as if it were nothing more than a toothpick in the sand. The gust of wind blew under my overcoat and toppled it over my helmet.

"Come on cadet. Can't win if you can't see!"

I felt Clay's hand swiftly pull my jacket upright and clap me on the back.

"What happened, soldier? The enemy got you shaking?"

Clayton was my best friend, always had been for as long as I could remember. If I had only reacted sooner, he'd still be here today.

End of Photo Story.

Expand Your Mind...

Let's face it, language learning isn't easy. But it can be fun and ultimately unite us across Lahnds and Rehlms. All we have to do is expand our minds. This is easiest understood by those who speak Earth English, but other languages from other places may also understand this language lesson.

Tip #1: Laugh every time you mess up and then try again. Every mistake is an opportunity to learn and grow. Embrace it!
