365 of my days have been spent at Target and for once I was not a consumer. Down the aisles I once strolled I hustled hard has hell to get the money I needed to get the fuck outa the north. I have learned about two very important things while being here: [the company] [is more important than workers because were expendable and people don't know how to use [anything] [properly.] I have gone shifts nearly passing out from heat and exaughstion because of poor scheduling and management choices. I nearly passed out from "normal generator fumes" while the fearless leaders of my store lept breavely to save the frozen products from dying a horrible death.
I am not a perfect worker. [Then again there is no perfect worker]. We are late and sleepy and sometimes hung over and, though thats not professional, it happens! Essential workers are not allowed to be human for risk of the flawed [and fragile] system of retail to fall apart. I don't pretend to know the intricacies of cooperations and how each slice of the pie is run. All I know is that when I am told after an hour of nonstop running in, out and around that I can't have a bottle of water beside me to drink BUT my manager can walk around the store with her Starbucks glam cup full to the brim as she analyzes and delegates, something needs to change. #retailworkersarehumanstoo
