Chapter 10: A Re-Introduction
Master Crystal's Story Part 2

This is not how I wanted to meet everyone. I never thought I’d meet them at all, but meeting them at once in the middle of a possible scandal is like wishing to be an accomplice to a murder. Especially the way that Ahlirah keeps glaring at me and Blyth like we’re a threat to her relationship. Drahn is the furthest thing I could desire. I still wish to go home to Earth, despite living on this paradise planet for almost a year. Nothing is more important than that.
The trek to Aensli’s cave turned out to be quite a walk from the autumn forest, so the group of us talked. A lot. I told them about Earth and the Wigglers and the Myth Makers. I even told them about finding Master, whom I affectionately named Jessi from a distance. The Voice of The Great Flame. They weren’t surprised to learn that I was the original garment bringer, to which Prahsehss showered me in gratitude for her very first dress.
She even asked me to teach her how to show, to which I told her about one of the myth makers being an expert seamstress. I just drew the designs for her to follow. By the time we reach the mouth of Aensli’s cave, I feel like I’m one of them. Blyth runs to hug her sister for the first time as Drahn stands uncomfortably at the mouth of the cave. He already explained his relationship with this woman on the way here, but that hasn’t quelled Ahlirah’s skepticism.
The other girls warm up to Aensli right away, and Prehp teases Drahn of hogging her to himself. Master Jessi walks over to me amid the scene with a deep crease in their forehead.
“You seemed so sad talking about your home on Earth,” they say. “Isn’t there a way to get you back to your family?”
“I tried coming up with a portal for the myth makers to build, but they tell me this is beyond their imaginative power.”
“I’d like to try to take a look at your portal,” Master Jessi says. "You've helped us so much, it's only right we return a fellow Master to her homeland."
“I’d be honored,” I smile, eager to tell them more about my insane idea. But even the possibility of going home again fuels my insanity. And this time, it just might be enough to get me back home.
