Wild Card: The Secret to Sketching

ree

So some of you are new to the creative play lifestyle and to you I say WELCOME! We like to have fun here and that is why our weekly posts are in the full spirit of play and thinking outside of the box. We need more messy thinkers and I am here to fuel that creative fire.

So what do we got on the agenda today?

Well for starters, have you checked out our brand new FreeWriters Club right here on the site? Have you joined in and shouted with joy? No? Your loss of awesomeness.

Now today I am here to just impart a little bit of wisdom I picked up along my travels. This year I have set out to sketch out my animation ideas and in order to do that, I have to learn how to sketch. (cue the dramatic screams) Now there are a million people out there to teach you how to draw and those that were blessed with talent, please hold your laughter until after the presentation.

The secret to sketching is this: lines and circles

Naw I'm serious yall. If you practice sketching out ten circles and then ten lines and you end up making something. Now I never said it was going to be this magical beast defying gravity but I mean it might be cool. Here's what I came up with last month:

I still have a long way to go, but at least I tried and that is what counts. If you are in the same boat as me with the whole drawing thing and have like Dollar Tree money, just start with lines and circles. It' where they're gonna tell you to start anyway.

As always, I hope I have inspired you in some way to break out of your comfort zone and be the best you the world can get today. Stay weird, stay woke, stay safe, and stay hungry. See yall next week. Byeeeeeee.

Letter to the haters: This "article" was written from the spirit of play and is to be used for inspirational purposes more than informational. We are very well aware our format is that of a 7th grader blogging in computer class and that is exactly why we chose it. To get back to the fun. So live a little, kick ya socks off and wear them as ears for a change. That's what the spirit of play is all about. Until next week!

Expand Your Mind...

Let's face it, language learning isn't easy. But it can be fun and ultimately unite us across Lahnds and Rehlms. All we have to do is expand our minds. This is easiest understood by those who speak Earth English, but other languages from other places may also understand this language lesson.

Tip #1: Laugh every time you mess up and then try again. Every mistake is an opportunity to learn and grow. Embrace it!
